Wednesday, December 18, 2002 Peace and blessings Ok so today I went to get some malaria (prevention) stuff from the immunization office. It took me a year and a day to get there b/c the street where the office said "you will see the street sign" was actually not there. So I drove around for an hour which made me 45 min. late for my appointment. Now, my appointment was only 15 minutes...I found out that my typhoid had expired from when I went to Ghana, so i had to add that to the tab. So in total for my 15 minute appt. and 24 pills cost $200+. Can you believe that? I knew it would be kind of pricey b/c I remember from a few years ago, but at least that appt. was more than 15 minutes. So with my analytical/scientifical mind, I just had to do the calculations: $15.33 per minute. It's worth it though b/c I will be in Nigeria. I just found out one of my sistah friends from school will be in Lagos visiting her family, so we are going to hook up. And a friend of a friend in Ghana will be around too...so I'll have folx to be around while I'm not being a "tourist". I have yet to create my Nigeria lists : Stuff to do B4, to Pack, and To Get/Buy from Nigeria...peace and prosperity... MakingOurOwnNoise and sending you love and light @ 12:06 AM # |
